I’ve had two very different experiences in Mexico in the past month!  Both were about LOVE! (see Lucas and Jess’s wedding post below)  I recently spent a week in one of the border towns of Mexico on a Mission trip through my church, Eagle Brook Church and Harvest Ministries in service with the ministries at Allianza Christiana de Reynosa.  It was a privilegeand honor to serve along side fellow team members and the staff at Allianza Christiana.  We started every day at 5 am in an hour of community prayer.  What a profound way to start our days.  God is doing amazing things through the people of both these churches.

We went to the jail with food for the prisoners.  The prisoners are not fed unless someone from the outside brings them food and beverages.

My heart ached to see children in such poverty.

The church has a school and the students were a joy to us.

My heart is softened and changed by this experience.  I pray that I am mindful in the ways I am called to serve my fellow travellers.

Jess and Lucas were married on the beach in Mexico in February.  35 of their friends and family were there to celebrate with them.  Lucas is a police officer and Jess is a mom and student.  I just LOVED being part of their fairy tale wedding.  You just have to check out the SLIDESHOW !!!!!

We even had an opportunity to do a day after session in the turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean Sea.

I just love my job……….
