Michon and Henning 09 . 02 . 07
Michon and Henning were such a fun and delightful couple to work with. Their connection with each other and their families and friends was a joy to be around. They were married at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory at Como Park in Saint Paul. It is the 2nd wedding I have photographed for this family. I was the photographer when her sister Janine was married 9 years ago. (those were my film days!)
They found it very difficult to choose just one image. They weren’t the only couple, but you’ll see that in a future entry.

Michon had this to say:
“I chose this one because it captures the innocence in our relationship. There is something very private and pure about the moment, as if we don’t even know you are there. It also makes me feel as though we are just discovering each other in the way I am leaning in to tentatively kiss him, as if I were a child expreiencing my first kiss. Finally, the golden light of late afternoon is enveloping us in such a way that you can really feel the warmth of love that the whole image represents.”
Image number 2……………….

Michon-
“I know this is Hennings’s favorite. Although it is somewhat of a classically posed image, it does not feel stiff or false, but instead forever captures us in our own personal garden of Eden; the place where we joined our lives together for all time. Aslo, there is so much passion in the kiss that when I look at this image, I know we will never forget how much we loved each other in that moment.”
I love what I do. How lucky am I?
